I was there on business hosting a tennis tournament at local St. Mary's College and had roughly 120 teenage players/coaches/parents staying at the hotel. Hotel staff provided friendly service in lieu of lots of activity coming in and out all at one time, and gave me a free room upgrade for bringing them business.

The hotel breakfast was great, hot breakfast with lot's of fresh food options. Easily could handle the mass rush of 100+ persons in a short time frame.

Hotel curfew is 10pm, which was tough to accomplish with a lot of teenagers but the security staff Bryan did a great job at keeping everyone quiet and on their best behavior if anyone was too loud after 10pm...Read More

We arrived in Walnut Creek about 9am. We stopped at the hotel to see if we could drop off our luggage instead of leaving it in the car all day since it was so hot outside. "Jario" was most helpful. Instead of just leaving our luggage at the front desk he found a room that was ready and allowed us to check in! What a bonus. This hotel has a lovely courtyard with patio tables and chairs by the outdoor pool. It was very quiet and relaxing. The free breakfast was very busy but well organized, you never had to wait for anything to be refilled as the staff was constantly monitoring the food supply and wiping down the tables as people left. Lots of parking spaces available even though it is a very large hotel. This is a great place to stay.Read More

We stayed at the HI Express Walnut Creek for a soccer tournament in the area. The hotel is nice, rooms are well equipped. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate. The breakfast was very good. Fully stocked, a lot of different options, and constantly replenished. Really appreciated it.
